Shoes

Simple footcare and wearing correctly fitting footwear will ensure your feet stay healthy.

Feet need room to breathe; they don't enjoy being cramped in uncomfortable shoes that may look fashionable but are causing problems on the inside.

Keep your feet dry, wash them daily, give them a clean pair of socks each day and shoes that have had time to dry out.

There has been much debate regarding the wearing of high heels with some reports indicating that it can actually strengthen ligaments and improve balance! At Flip Flops we have seen the effects of squashing feet into pointed shoes that bend the toes over each other and cause the natural shape of the foot to change.

Whether high heels are good or bad will always be a topic of discussion but one thing remains certain - if the weather and pavements allowed us to all go bare footed our feet would stay the right shape forever. As this is impractical we need to ensure that our shoes fit without squashing toes or rubbing. Get your feet properly measured and make comfort a higher priority than fashion!
